FIONA MOORE - NOOMA BREATHWORK

Nau mai, Haere Mai - Welcome

Hi, I’m Fiona. I’m a proud mix of Irish and Yorkshire, raised on a council estate in the North West of England. Growing up, my father's violence and incarceration fuelled a unwavering determination in me to make a positive difference in the world. For years, I internalized his violence. The effects were ever present, resulting in an often turbulent healing journey. I sought solace in various healing practices, both conventional and complementary, and it wasn't until I discovered Breathwork that I felt a freedom I had never experienced before.

Today I’m a Certified Trauma Informed Breathwork Facilitator. I have a diverse lived experience, recovery journey and social work background including frontline, crisis response and leadership roles. With over 25 years of professional expertise, I have supported thousands of people through personal change and wellness.

I was first introduced to breathwork in 2018 through Lukis Mac and Helle Weston of Owaken Breathwork. The same year, I completed the renowned Clarity Breathwork Professional Breathwork Training Programme and trained in wet (water) and dry breathwork sessions. This full immersion Professional Breathwork Training Programme is accredited by the GPBA (Global Professional Breathwork Association) and the IBF (International Breathwork Foundation).

In 2021, I provided support to Lukis Mac and Helle Weston on their sold-out tour of Aotearoa and Australia. The following year, I completed the Owaken Breathwork Trauma Informed Facilitator Training, whose ethical standards exceed the IBTA Ethical Standards. In 2023, I returned in the role of an Owaken Breathwork Support Coach, offering guidance to a new intake of Owaken Breathwork Facilitator students from across the globe. I recently joined Lukis and Helle to provide further support on their 2024 Owaken Breathwork Global Tour. You can find me on the Owaken Breathwork website here

Throughout my professional career, I have worked across a variety of community based services with areas of specialist practice including animal welfare, complex needs, family violence, sexual violence, elder services, palliative care, youth, homelessness, mental health, addiction and residential care. All provide the strong relational foundation of my breathwork practice. I specialist in supporting complex trauma presentation, using a therapeutic approach. I currently work in central government as a National Family Violence Trainer and Specialist, working on nationwide family violence responses and sexual violence prevention.

I continue to engage in professional development and recently completed a Trauma Informed Facilitator Training with SomaPsych to further embody my role as a Facilitator of restoration and wellness. With a deep understanding of people, my practical approach and professional expertise means I’m able to confidently meet you wherever you are in your life. Located in Auckland and with the ability to travel, I am devoted to sharing the sustainable benefits of Trauma Informed Breathwork to individuals and groups throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand.
